Quinta Do Noval

Perched above Pinhão, in the heart of the Cima Corgo, Quinta do Noval is one of the most prestigious estates in the Douro Valley and the only great Port house whose name is that of its very birthplace. Mentioned in records as early as 1715, its legend owes much to a tiny plot of ungrafted vines, the Nacional, whose 1931 and 1963 vintages rank among the most sought-after Ports of all time. Noval was also the first house to create the Late Bottled Vintage category and the first to market tawnies with an age indication. Owned by AXA Millésimes since 1993 and led by Christian Seely, the quinta has reclaimed its absolute standing and today develops, alongside its Ports, a notable range of dry Douro wines, from single-vineyard parcels to single-varietal bottlings.
