- Winemaking: A meticulous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and complementary grape varieties, aged to reveal the purity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Château Brane-Cantenac Brane Cantenac 1982
To the eye – A garnet robe with tawny highlights, of velvety density, betraying a harmonious maturity and an unctuous texture.
On the nose – First black cherry and tangy raspberry, followed by a breath of fresh cedar, blonde tobacco and a saline touch, like an echo of the estate's gravelly soils.
On the palate – A precise attack, filigree tannins wrapped in a lively acidity, while notes of dark chocolate and polished leather stretch into a chalky, persistent finish.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.

A sunny and generous vintage, where controlled warmth allowed the grapes to reach optimal ripeness without losing their freshness.
