Tasting notes for Château Brane-Cantenac 1975
To the eye: Tawny red robe with amber reflections, of a texture slightly veiled by time, yet still luminous.
On the nose: Aromas of damp undergrowth, ripe porcini mushrooms, candied morello cherry and rusty iron, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of blonde tobacco.
On the palate: Both granular and silky in texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long and slightly spiced finish.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its evolved nuances.
