The Chavost Coteaux Champenois 2023 blanc, made from Chardonnay grown on clay-limestone soils, is aged 18 months in barrels without sulphites. Its aromas of citrus and butter, its chalky minerality and its lively freshness make it an ideal wine for a risotto or seafood, to be enjoyed by 2033.
Born in 1946 from the union of winegrowers from Chavot-Courcourt, this cooperative embodies the alliance between Champenois tradition and ecological commitment.
- Terroir: 70 hectares in the Vallée de la Marne, on clay-limestone soils shaping wines of distinctive minerality.
- Vinification: Natural methods – no additives, no filtration – to reveal the purity of Chardonnay aged in French oak barrels.
Tasting notes for Champagne Chavost Coteaux Champenois 2023 Blanc
To the eye – A golden robe with green glints, of silky clarity, already betraying the tension of the chalky terroir.
On the nose – Aromas of candied citrus (lime, grapefruit) intertwine with notes of fresh butter, toasted bread and ripe pineapple, lifted by a discreet saline touch.
On the palate – A lively and precise attack, where the chalky minerality embraces the roundness of Chardonnay, leaving a long and sapid finish, carried by an elegant acidity.
Serve at 12°C in a white Burgundy wine glass to fully exalt its complexity.
