De Villaine Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise La Fortune 2023, from the clay-limestone hillsides of Bouzeron. This barrel-aged Pinot Noir reveals wild strawberry, violet and spice. A fresh palate, silky tannins and chalky minerality. Perfect from now until 2030, with meats and cheeses.
Heir to a family expertise rooted in Burgundy, Domaine de Villaine cultivates exceptional terroirs between the Côte Chalonnaise and the Côte d'Or with great rigour.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marly soils of the Côte Chalonnaise, where Pinot Noir flourishes with mineral elegance and a characteristic freshness.
- Vinification: A precise and respectful method – maceration in wooden vats, ageing in used barrels – to preserve the purity of the fruit and the natural tension of the wine.
To the eye: Deep purple robe, with a silky density and a vivid brilliance that heralds a generous character.
On the nose: Aromas of wild strawberry and wild raspberry intertwine with floral notes of violet, before giving way to a peppery touch and a chalky minerality, discreet yet persistent.
On the palate: A juicy and fresh attack, carried by silky tannins and an elegant structure, where mineral tension dialogues with a saline and persistent finish.
Serve between 16 and 18 °C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where the freshness and density of the fruit combine with a harmonious structure.
