What makes the single-vineyard vin jaune from Domaine Bénédicte et Stéphane Tissot so special?
Stéphane Tissot was the first winemaker from Arbois to produce single-vineyard vin jaune, starting in 2003. Where most producers regard vin jaune as primarily a wine defined by its aging process, the philosophy of Domaine Bénédicte et Stéphane Tissot is entirely different: the terroir expresses itself from the vine. The expression of a vin jaune En Spois bears absolutely no resemblance to that of a vin jaune La Mailloche, with each plot delivering its own aromatic signature. This pioneering approach opened a new chapter in the history of Jura's vin jaune.
