From the gravels of Saint-Émilion, Château Figeac 2002 is a classified grand cru of elegant character. Aged in oak barrels, it offers notes of dark fruits, spices and a touch of oak. Its balanced, mineral and fresh palate pairs ideally with red meats or duck breast.
A historic estate of Saint-Émilion, rooted in an exceptional terroir for generations, Château Figeac embodies the elegance and complexity of the great wines of Bordeaux.
- Terroir: Deep gravels of Saint-Émilion, gravelly and clay-limestone soils, imparting minerality and structure to the cuvées.
- Vinification: A precise blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, aged in French oak barrels for silky harmony and long persistence.
Tasting notes for Château Figeac Figeac 2002
To the eye: A garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of silky density and subtle brilliance, already revealing the maturity and depth of the vintage.
On the nose: A bouquet of ripe blackcurrant, fresh violet, cedar and blonde tobacco, lifted by a mineral hint of graphite and a saline note.
On the palate: A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and elegant finish, marked by fine tannins and refined tension.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully express its nuances.
