Tasting Notes for Château Angélus 1985
Appearance: A deep ruby robe with tawny highlights, of a velvety texture and a brilliance preserved by time.
Nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, blonde tobacco and cedar mingle with a hint of damp undergrowth, lifted by a subtle note of graphite.
Palate: A silky attack gives way to a vibrant tension, carried by well-integrated tannins and a chalky minerality, for a long, saline finish.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to exalt its complexity.
