The 1966 vintage, solid and very classic on the Right Bank, produced wines with fine structure that can still today offer a delicate, deeply tertiary profile.

An advanced-evolution wine for seasoned enthusiasts

At this stage of maturity, Château Haut-Simard 1966 presents itself as an old, highly evolved wine—delicate and fragile. The aromas lean heavily toward the tertiary register: notes of undergrowth, dried leaves, leather, candied fruit, and a touch of sweet spice. On the palate, the substance is fully mellow, with a supple texture and completely softened tannins.
