This Pinot Noir Les Jardins 2025 from Domaine Ostertag, born in Alsace on clay-limestone soils, is aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve its vibrant fruitiness – cherry, strawberry and raspberry. Supple and mineral, it pairs with poultry and is best enjoyed young or within 2–3 years.
Nestled in the heart of Alsace, in Epfig, Domaine Ostertag embodies the alliance of a family heritage and a quest for authenticity, guided by biodynamics since 1998.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone and granitic soils, bathed in a semi-continental climate, shape wines of rare precision, where minerality and freshness engage in dialogue.
- Winemaking : A natural approach – complete destemming, stainless steel fermentation – preserves the purity of the fruit and the elegance of the tannins, for lively and silky cuvées.Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Ostertag Alsace Pinot Noir Les Jardins 2025
To the eye – A pale ruby robe, of crystalline transparency, where the light dances with an almost silky texture.
On the nose – First notes of morello cherry and wild strawberry, followed by deeper touches of cranberry and wild raspberry, before a saline hint comes to underscore the chalky minerality of the terroir.
On the palate – A wine of delicate tension, where lively acidity and velvety texture balance with a saline and persistent finish, carried by elegantly soft tannins.
To be served between 12 and 14°C, in a medium-sized red wine glass to release its full aromatic palette.Vintage 2025
A vintage marked by early maturity and preserved freshness, offering a Pinot Noir of remarkable fruity expression and mineral precision.
- Ageing potential : Best enjoyed young to appreciate its vibrancy, or cellared for up to 5 years under optimal conditions (stable temperature, away from light).
