This Château Suduiraut 1957, Sauternes Premier Cru Classé, comes from the hillsides of Preignac. Made from Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc, it delivers honey, candied apricot, and gentle spices. Its palate, rich and mineral, captivates with its balance. Ideal with foie gras or blue cheeses.
Nestled in the heart of Preignac, this historic estate has embodied the excellence of Sauternes for centuries. Classified as Premier Cru in 1855, it combines family tradition with an exceptional terroir.
- Terroir: 92 hectares of gravelly and clay soils on the Preignac plateau, bathed by the Ciron river, which encourages noble rot and wines of rare complexity.
- Vinification: Manual harvesting by successive tries, aged in oak barrels for a harmonious balance between richness and freshness.
Tasting notes for Château Suduiraut Sauternes 1957
To the eye – A golden robe with amber highlights, dense and luminous, revealing an unctuous texture and masterful aging.
On the nose – An enchanting bouquet where acacia honey, candied apricot, candied orange peel, and a hint of salted butter caramel intertwine, lifted by a subtle chalky minerality.
On the palate – A silky, almost syrupy attack, balanced by a lively acidity that carries a long, saline finish, with lingering notes of dried fruits and gentle spices.
Serve at 6°C in a white wine glass suited for Sauternes to fully release its aromatic palette.
