Vincent Carême focuses on dry and off-dry Vouvrays with clean, pure fruit. This quietly scholarly figure belongs to the young generation restoring the noble reputation of this great Vouvray terroir. His range is straightforward, loyally expressive, increasingly mineral — barrel ageing is also more precise — ranging from the well-mastered sparkling to the luscious. Beyond their precision, a harmony now emerges from the wines. This estate produces several cuvées including the brut, the Ancestrale, the dry Vouvray, the Peu Morier and finally, the Clos 2008.
