Tasting notes for Domaine Anne Gros Richebourg Grand Cru 1997
To the eye: A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: An enchanting bouquet where fresh raspberry and ripe blackcurrant intertwine, lifted by notes of peony and violet, before opening onto accents of liquorice, leather and a saline hint of undergrowth.
On the palate: A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, where jammy dark fruits balance with a long, spiced finish of taut elegance.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to bring out its full complexity.
Vintage 1997
A generous vintage, marked by optimal grape ripeness, offering a perfect balance between fruity richness and tannic structure.
- Ageing potential: To be enjoyed until 2035, stored under ideal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
