The Richebourg 2020 from Domaine Méo-Camuzet, a Grand Cru from Vosne-Romanée, is a Pinot Noir aged in new oak barrels. Nose of red fruits, spices and chalky minerality. A balanced palate, silky tannins and a long finish. Perfect for cellaring until 2045, to pair with duck with cherries.
A family estate rooted in the heart of Vosne-Romanée, where four centuries of Burgundian heritage combine with a constant pursuit of excellence.
- Terroir : exceptional plots in the Côte de Nuits – clay-limestone soils, precise exposures and a cool climate shape wines of rare intensity.
- Winemaking : a traditional approach, combining respect for the fruit with aging in new oak barrels, producing wines that are both powerful and of a mineral elegance.
Tasting notes for Domaine Méo-Camuzet Richebourg 2020
In the glass – a deep purple robe with garnet highlights, of a silky density that already hints at the wine's richness.
On the nose – aromas of fresh black cherry, wild violet and soft liquorice, followed by a hint of damp undergrowth and a chalky minerality, like an echo of the limestone soils.
On the palate – a velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a saline tension, where notes of blackberry, cocoa and soft spices unfold, leading to a long, persistent finish of remarkable precision.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
