All wines from of Touraine appellation in the Loire Valley
The Touraine appellation, a prestigious AOC in the Loire Valley, extends over some 5,500 hectares around Tours, in Indre-et-Loire. Covering some 5,500 hectares, its clay-limestone, siliceous and gravelly soils, combined with a temperate oceanic climate, produce red wines (gamay, cabernet franc, côt), whites (sauvignon blanc, chenin), rosés and sparkling wines (Touraine Fines Bulles). Renowned for their freshness and fruitiness, these wines offer yields of 50 to 60 hl/ha. Sub-appellations such as Touraine-Amboise, Touraine-Chenonceaux and Touraine-Mesland highlight unique terroirs.
