The Nicolas Barbou Touraine Utopie Créative 2020, a dry white wine from Touraine-Oisly, is made from Sauvignon Blanc grown on quartziferous and clay-sandy soils. These old vines (1975) offer aromas of citrus and stone fruit, refined by 20 months in barrels. Vibrant freshness and chalky minerality on the palate. To enjoy until 2028 with oysters or goat's cheese.
An artisanal estate rooted in the chalky soils of Touraine-Oisly, where Burgundian heritage meets the boldness of the Loire.
- Terroir : Quartz, sand and clay soils in Oisly, the cradle of a mineral and profound Sauvignon Blanc.
- Vinification : Patient barrel aging, respect for old vines and the pursuit of a vibrant texture.
Tasting notes for Nicolas Barbou Touraine Utopie Créative 2020
To the eye – A golden robe with green highlights, of silky clarity and a chalky density that heralds a generous wine.
On the nose – Aromas of fresh lime and tart apple intertwine with notes of lemongrass, jasmine and a saline touch, before giving way to a mineral depth and bursts of ripe pineapple.
On the palate – An ample and vibrant texture, driven by precise acidity and a quartzite minerality, stretching into a long, saline finish where fruity freshness and woody complexity intertwine.
Serve at 10–12°C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to reveal its full purity.

A vintage marked by balanced ripeness and preserved freshness, ideal for expressing the mineral tension of the Oisly terroir.
