Nicolas Barbou Touraine Utopie Créative 2022—an organic Sauvignon Blanc white from Oisly’s sandy and clay soils. Aged 20 months in barrels, it offers pear and grapefruit notes and a fresh, mineral palate. Perfect with oysters or goat cheese; enjoy now or in 3 to 5 years.
A young estate rooted in Touraine, where organic tradition meets the boldness of natural winemaking.
- Terroir: Quartz and sand over clay in Oisly, within the AOC Touraine appellation—a mineral setting for Sauvignon Blanc wines of rare precision.
- Winemaking: Whole-cluster pressing and extended aging in barrels (some from Burgundy), with minimal intervention, produce lively, balanced wines.

In the glass: Pale gold and crystal clear, with light playing across an almost silky texture.
On the nose: Ripe Bosc pear aromas mingle with yellow grapefruit zest, followed by a fresh floral touch—like a flower bed after rain—and subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate: A lively, taut opening, supported by elegant acidity, develops into a persistent mineral palate with a saline finish of remarkable length.
