Tasting notes for Château du Tertre Tertre 1998
To the eye – Garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a velvety density through which the maturity of the tannins shows.
On the nose – Aromas of candied red fruits, black truffle and blond tobacco, lifted by a hint of roasted cacao and a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate – A broad and supple texture, carried by a lively acidity that balances the richness of gentle spices; a persistent finish where notes of cherry brandy and liquorice unfold.
Serve at 16 °C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
