- Terroir : Gravelly and clay soils of Pomerol, the cradle of great Merlot, conferring on the wines a mineral depth and velvety elegance.
- Vinification : Precise ageing in oak barrels, combining tradition and modernity to reveal the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the tannins.
Tasting notes for Château Clinet Clinet 2006
- Appearance : Deep purple robe with garnet reflections, of silky density and crystalline brilliance.
- On the nose : Aromas of wild blackberry and fresh blackcurrant, evolving toward notes of black truffle, roasted liquorice and a saline hint of graphite, the signature of the terroir.
- On the palate : A generous and fleshy attack, carried by a lively acidity and chalky minerality, while silky tannins stretch into a long and spiced finish.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
