Tasting notes for the wine Château Clinet Clinet 1960
To the eye: A garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of a dense texture slightly veiled by time, revealing a patinated maturity.
On the nose: Aromas of candied prune, aged cedar, blonde tobacco, and damp undergrowth, underscored by a saline touch and a hint of liquorice.
On the palate: A silky attack, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and spiced finish where notes of cocoa and forest mushroom intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its complex aromas.
