The Comte Liger-Belair Echézeaux 2013, a Grand Cru from the Côte de Nuits, is a precise and elegant Pinot Noir. Its notes of wild strawberry and orange peel, its mineral palate and silky tannins make it a wine for aging until 2050, ideal with red meats or cheeses.
A family estate rooted in Vosne-Romanée, where Burgundian heritage meets a pursuit of terroir purity.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of the Grands Crus, where each plot expresses a chalky minerality and a natural elegance.
- Vinification: Biodynamic approach since 2008, indigenous fermentations and aging in new oak barrels to preserve the tension and precision of the wines.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Echézeaux Grand Cru 2013
To the eye – A garnet-red robe with ruby highlights, of a silky density and a brilliance that heralds a wine that is both generous and refined.
On the nose – Aromas of fresh wild strawberry intertwine with notes of candied orange peel, then evolve toward a deep raspberry coulis, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of damp undergrowth.
On the palate – The texture is velvety, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality that drive the wine toward a long, saline finish, where freshness prevails over the still-present oak.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full aromatic complexity.
