This Échézeaux Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes 2006 by Dominique Laurent, born from Pinot Noir on the slopes of Flagey-Échézeaux, offers aromas of raspberry, lychee and flowers. On the palate, silky and mineral, it captivates with its length. Perfect until 2030 with game or cheeses.
A Burgundian négociant-winemaker, Dominique Laurent embodies a quest for purity and precision, rooted in the great terroirs of the Côte de Nuits. His approach blends respect for old vines with meticulous winemaking to reveal the soul of the appellations.
- Terroir : The old vines of Échézeaux Grand Cru, on the clay-limestone soils of Flagey-Échézeaux, offer a chalky minerality and a unique depth.
- Winemaking : Aging in oak barrels, with a discreet woody touch, to preserve the freshness and tension of the Pinot Noir.
- To the eye : Deep red robe with garnet highlights, of a dense and silky texture, like liquid velvet.
- On the nose : Aromas of fresh raspberry and candied cherry intertwine with more exotic notes of lychee and ripe fruits, lifted by a floral touch and a saline mineral hint.
- On the palate : A precise and elegant attack, where the tension of the fruit marries a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, leading to a long and persistent finish marked by animal and spiced nuances.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to bring out its full complexity.
A vintage where grape ripeness combines with preserved freshness, offering balanced wines of great elegance.
- Aging potential : To be kept until 2030 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
