Anne Gros Vosne-Romanée Les Barreaux 2020, from the Les Barreaux climat, reveals the elegance of Pinot Noir. Century-old vines (1903), crunchy red fruits, a saline touch and velvety texture. Fresh and mineral, it pairs with poultry or ceps, and can be cellared for 10 to 15 years.
Domaine Anne Gros
A family estate rooted in the heart of Vosne-Romanée, where exacting standards and respect for the terroir shape wines of rare precision.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, between Vosne-Romanée and its mythical climats, yielding wines of vibrant minerality and timeless elegance.
- Vinification: A natural and meticulous approach, where the freshness of the fruit and the purity of the Pinot Noir express themselves without artifice, in a style that is both silky and taut.
Tasting notes for Domaine Anne Gros Vosne-Romanée Les Barreaux 2020
To the eye – A deep garnet-red robe, with a velvety texture and a brilliance that already announces its mineral tension.
On the nose – Aromas of morello cherry and wild blackberry, lifted by notes of fresh violet and sweet liquorice, before a saline touch underlines the freshness of the terroir.
On the palate – A lively and precise attack, where tangy red fruits mingle with a chalky minerality, carried by silky tannins and a finish of saline and spiced length.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to release all its complexity.
Vintage 2020
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness and preserved freshness, offering wines of great purity and remarkable tension.
- Ageing potential: 10 to 15 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
