Tasting notes for Domaine François Lamarche Vosne-Romanée 2008
In the glass: A deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a velvety and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherry and blackberry intertwine with notes of violet, damp undergrowth and a saline touch, evoking the chalk of the Burgundian hillsides.
On the palate: A silky attack, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and taut finish marked by elegant tannins.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.

A vintage marked by slow ripening and preserved freshness, yielding wines of great purity and remarkable tension.
