Domaine Anne Gros
Nestled in the heart of Vosne-Romanée, this family estate has embodied Burgundian excellence for generations.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, where Grand Crus reveal their minerality and depth.
- Vinification: A precise approach, blending tradition and modernity to produce wines of taut elegance and silky texture.
Tasting notes for Domaine Anne Gros Clos Vougeot Grand Maupertui 2000
To the eye – A velvety, dense and luminous purple robe, betraying a generous maturity and an assertive structure.
On the nose – First, sun-drenched black fruits (ripe cherry, candied plum), then gentle spices (pepper, clove), before opening up to notes of undergrowth and a saline, chalky touch.
On the palate – An ample and silky texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and harmonious finish, where candied fruits and animal nuances intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2000
A vintage marked by optimal ripeness, where power and balance meet with rare precision.
- Ageing potential: To be enjoyed until 2025–2030, stored under ideal conditions (stable temperature, away from light).
