Thomas Morey Maranges 1er Cru La Fuissière 2023, born on the clay-limestone slopes of Maranges. This Pinot Noir combines red fruits and soft spices – silky structure, mineral freshness. To enjoy young or to keep for 5 to 8 years. Perfect with roasted poultry.
Nestled in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, this family estate perpetuates a viticultural heritage where precision and respect for the terroir guide every vintage.
- Terroir : The clay-limestone soils of Maranges, fully south-facing, lend the wines a chalky minerality and an elegance typical of Burgundy.
- Winemaking : Aged in oak barrels for a silky structure, without masking the purity of the Pinot Noir.
- To the eye : Garnet red robe with vivid highlights, of a dense and luminous texture.
- On the nose : Aromas of morello cherry, wild blackberry, followed by notes of liquorice and undergrowth, lifted by a saline and mineral touch.
- On the palate : Silky attack, precise acidity and elegant tannins, carried by a chalky minerality and a long finish marked by a saline tension.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its complexity.
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration combine to produce wines of great precision.
- Ageing potential : To be kept 8 to 10 years in a cool, humid cellar, away from light.
