This Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Vide Bourse 2021 expresses a clay-limestone terroir. This Chardonnay, aged in barrels, combines aromas of tart apple and gunflint. On the palate, roundness and tension are in balance. Ideal with oysters or grilled lobster, to be enjoyed by 2033.
Nestled in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, this family estate perpetuates a winemaking heritage where precision and respect for the terroir guide every cuvée.
- Terroir: The clay-limestone and marly soils of the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Vide Bourse appellation impart a chalky minerality and a characteristic tension to the wines.
- Vinification: Aged in oak barrels, with a controlled touch of new wood, to preserve the purity of the Chardonnay and reveal the elegance of the cru.
To the eye: Golden robe with green highlights, of silky clarity and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of lime and tart apple intertwine with notes of fresh almond and linden blossom, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of gunflint.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a smooth texture; the chalky minerality stretches into a long and saline finish, where hints of gentle spices can be perceived.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to enhance its complexity.
A vintage marked by vibrant freshness, where the balance between ripeness and acidity gives birth to wines of great precision.
- Ageing potential: To be kept until 2033 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, away from light).
