All wines from the Fixin appellation in Burgundy
The Fixin appellation, nestled in the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy, is a communal AOC recognized since 1936, covering Fixin and Brochon, near Dijon. With approximately 100 hectares of vineyard, it produces mainly red wines (Pinot Noir, 95 hectares) and a few white wines (Chardonnay, 5 hectares). Among these areas, approximately 18 hectares are classified as six Premiers Crus, notably Clos de la Perrière, Clos Napoléon, Clos du Chapitre, Les Arvelets, Les Hervelets and Le Meix-Bas, situated on slopes at 350-380 meters altitude. The limestone and marl soils give Fixin red wines structured tannins, aromas of red fruits, flowers and spices, perfect for aging, while the whites, which are rare, shine through their freshness and minerality. Production reaches approximately 4,000 hectoliters per year, of which 95% are reds.
