The Quarts de Chaume appellation, located in Anjou (Loire Valley), is a prestigious AOC renowned for its exceptional sweet wines made from the Chenin Blanc grape variety. Spanning approximately 50 hectares around Rochefort-sur-Loire, it benefits from schist soils and an ideal microclimate near the Layon River, favoring noble rot (Botrytis cinerea). With yields limited to 25 hl/ha, manual harvesting through successive selections ensures high-quality overripe grapes. Recognized as a Grand Cru since 2011, Quarts de Chaume produces rich, balanced sweet wines with complex aromas and exceptional aging potential.
