The Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques 2018 from Domaine Armand Rousseau is born on calcareous and marly soils. This Pinot Noir reveals aromas of red fruits, violet and a mineral touch, refined in oak barrels. On the palate, silky texture, fine tannins and vibrant freshness. To be enjoyed until 2065 with red meats or aged cheeses.

Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Armand Rousseau Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques 2018
- To the eye : A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky texture and crystalline brilliance, heralding a wine of great precision.
- On the nose : An airy bouquet blending morello cherry, fresh raspberry, notes of violet and a touch of damp undergrowth, lifted by a subtle chalky salinity.
- On the palate : A lively and tense attack, carried by silky tannins and a mineral acidity, unfolding aromas of orange peel and liquorice before a long, saline finish of persistent elegance.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to bring out its complexity.

A sunny and generous vintage, where summer heat concentrated the fruit while preserving the characteristic mineral freshness of the Clos Saint-Jacques.
