This Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru 2023 from Domaine Sylvie Esmonin is born on a limestone plot of the Clos Saint-Jacques. This Pinot Noir, aged in new barrels, captivates with its aromas of dark fruit and chalky minerality. Structured, it pairs with meats and aged cheeses, with an aging potential of 15 to 20 years.
Nestled in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, this family estate embodies the exacting standards of an exceptional terroir and a winemaking approach respectful of Burgundian traditions.
- Terroir – Thin Bathonian limestone soils shape wines of remarkable minerality and tension, particularly in the mythical Clos Saint-Jacques.
- Winemaking – Aging in French oak barrels, whole-cluster fermentation, and indigenous yeasts for cuvées of rare precision and depth.
