From the limestone soils of Clos de Bèze, the Chambertin Grand Cru 2021 from Domaine Armand Rousseau is a Pinot Noir aged in oak barrels. Red fruits, spices and chalky minerality define its profile. On the palate, silky and lively, it can be enjoyed from 2030 onwards with lamb or cheese.
Domaine Armand Rousseau Nestled in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, this family estate has embodied Burgundian excellence for nearly a century, combining tradition and precision. - Terroir : The limestone and stony slopes of the Grands Crus, where Pinot Noir draws its minerality and elegance. - Vinification : A respectful approach, blending whole clusters and aging in oak barrels for wines of remarkable purity and tension. Tasting notes for Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin Clos de Bèze 2021 - Appearance : A deep red robe with garnet highlights, silky and luminous in texture, heralding a wine that is both dense and refined. - Nose : A bouquet combining fresh red berries, black cherry, a hint of liquorice and soft spices, lifted by a subtle chalky, saline note. - Palate : A lively and precise attack, carried by silky tannins and a taut acidity, leading to a long, mineral finish where aromas of ripe fruit and oriental spices unfold. Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity. Vintage 2021 A fresh and concentrated vintage, in which low yields allowed the full finesse and depth of the terroir to be expressed. - Ageing potential : To be cellared until 2050 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled hygrometry).
