Chantal Lescure Beaune 1er cru Les Chouacheux 2022

The Domaine Chantal Lescure, based in Nuits-Saint-Georges in Burgundy, was established in 1975 by Chantal Lescure and Xavier Machard de Gramont, and is now managed by their sons, Aymeric and Thibault, with a modern touch from cellar master François Chavériat. Located in the Côte de Beaune region, this 19-hectare estate, certified organic since 2009, excels in the Beaune 1er Cru appellation. The Les Chouacheux 2022 cuvée, a still red wine, is crafted entirely from Pinot Noir from a 1.5-hectare plot on iron-rich clay-limestone soils, vinified in stainless steel tanks and aged for 18 months in oak barrels.

On tasting, this wine presents a vibrant ruby hue and an intense nose of ripe red fruits, such as cherry, complemented by floral hints and subtle spices. On the palate, it offers an elegant texture, fine tannins, and a lingering mineral finish.
