The Château des Tours Vacqueyras 2003, born in Vacqueyras, combines Grenache (80%) and Syrah (20%) for a red wine with notes of ripe fruits, spices and cacao. This 2003 vintage, full-bodied and balanced, pairs perfectly with braised lamb. To be enjoyed until 2017.
A family estate rooted in Sarrians, at the heart of the sun-drenched lands of Vacqueyras, where the Reynaud heritage is passed down through every cuvée.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils and rounded pebbles of the southern Côtes-du-Rhône, shaping generous and structured wines.
- Vinification: Patient aging in vats, preserving the purity of the grape varieties and the natural balance of the fruit.
Tasting Notes for Château des Tours Vacqueyras 2003
To the eye – A deep garnet-red robe with tawny highlights, of a silky density, slightly veiled by time.
On the nose – Aromas of candied blackberry, dried fig and black liquorice, lifted by a hint of roasted cacao and a subtle mineral note of graphite.
On the palate – A velvety texture, driven by a lively acidity and a still-present tannic structure, leading to a long, spiced finish where black pepper and stewed fruits intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
