The Château Margaux 2018 Magnum, Premier Grand Cru Classé from Margaux, is born on gravelly soils. This wine, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, offers notes of blackcurrant and spices after 22 months in oak barrels. Its well-balanced palate with silky tannins pairs beautifully with roasted meats and aged cheeses.
Nestled in the heart of the Margaux appellation, this legendary estate has embodied the excellence of Bordeaux wines for centuries. Its heritage, shaped by generations of passionate individuals, is expressed through cuvées of rare elegance.
- Terroir : Deep gravels and clay-limestone soils of Margaux, where Cabernet Sauvignon flourishes under a temperate climate, endowing the wines with a distinctive minerality and a refined structure.
- Vinification : A rigorous selection of the finest plots, a patient aging in French oak barrels and a perpetual quest for balance between power and finesse.
Tasting notes for Château Margaux 2018 Magnum
- To the eye : A deep red robe with garnet reflections, dense and silky, revealing a generous substance and a crystalline brilliance.
- On the nose : An enchanting bouquet where aromas of wild blackberry, ripe blackcurrant, delicate violet and cedar intermingle, lifted by a mineral touch of graphite and a subtle spiced note of liquorice.
- On the palate : A velvety attack, carried by tannins of satin texture, a lively and precise acidity, and a chalky minerality that stretches into a long, saline finish, where nuances of dark fruits and gentle spices linger.
