Tasting notes for the wine Château Margaux 1993
To the eye – A garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of a velvety density, betraying a harmonious maturity and a smooth texture.
On the nose – Aromas of candied blackcurrant intertwine with notes of cedar, blonde tobacco and black truffle, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite, the signature of Margaux's finest terroirs.
On the palate – The palate unfolds with a taut elegance, where silky tannins embrace a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, leading to a long and persistent finish marked by gentle spices and a menthol freshness.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage marked by capricious climatic conditions, where the rigour of the terroir allowed an unexpected concentration and elegance to be drawn out.
