The Romanée-Conti 2001, Grand Cru from the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, comes from the clay-limestone soils of Vosne-Romanée. This Pinot Noir offers notes of black cherry and spices, refined in barrels. Its silky, mineral palate is captivating. Perfect with game or red meat, it can be cellared through to 2050.
Nestled at the heart of Vosne-Romanée, this legendary estate has embodied Burgundian excellence for centuries, combining family heritage with an unrivalled mastery of terroir.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marly soils of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of the most coveted Grand Crus, where Pinot Noir reveals a unique minerality.
- Vinification: Aged in new oak barrels, with scrupulous respect for the fruit and the pursuit of pure elegance, free from artifice.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée Conti 2001
To the eye – Deep garnet robe with tawny glints, of silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose – Aromas of candied black cherry, faded rose, damp undergrowth and black truffle, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of liquorice.
On the palate – Velvety and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long and persistent finish marked by notes of cocoa and gentle spices.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy-style glass to fully express its complexity.

- Ageing potential: To be enjoyed through to 2050, provided it is kept in a cellar at a stable temperature (12–14°C) and away from light.
