From a 1.8-hectare vineyard in the Côte de Nuits, the Romanée-Conti Grand Cru 2012 is an exceptional Pinot Noir. Aged in oak barrels, it offers aromas of ripe fruits, spices and a distinctive minerality. Dense and fresh on the palate, ideal with a beef bourguignon.
domaine de la Romanée-Conti
Nestled in the heart of Vosne-Romanée, this legendary estate has embodied Burgundian excellence for centuries.
- Terroir: 1.8 hectares of limestone soils in the Romanée-Conti appellation, where Pinot Noir reveals a unique minerality.
- Vinification: Manual harvesting, ageing in new oak barrels and absolute respect for the fruit, for wines of rare precision.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-Conti Grand Cru 2012
To the eye – A deep red robe with garnet reflections, of a silky texture and a chalky density.
On the nose – Aromas of black cherry, wild blackberry, dried rose petals and soft spices, lifted by a saline touch and a stony minerality.
On the palate – A velvety attack, a lively and taut acidity, a mineral structure that stretches into a finish of an enchanting length, carried by tannins of rare elegance.
Serve between 16° and 18°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2012
A vintage marked by perfect ripeness and remarkable concentration, where the balance between freshness and depth reaches its peak.
- Ageing potential: 20 to 30 years, to be kept in optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
