Diconne Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru Les Bretterins 2023, Domaine Diconne, from the calcareous marl of Auxey-Duresses. This Pinot Noir offers aromas of red fruits and spices, a silky and mineral palate. Perfect for 5 to 8 years of ageing, it pairs well with meats or aged cheeses.
A family estate rooted in the hillsides of Auxey-Duresses, where artisanal expertise has been passed down through several generations.
- Terroir: The Pinot Noir vines flourish on calcareous marl, typical of the Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru appellation, lending the wine a chalky minerality and a typically Burgundian elegance.
- Vinification: Methods respectful of the fruit, combining tradition and precision, for wines that are taut, lively and of great purity.
To the eye: A ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of Morello cherry and fresh raspberry, followed by notes of violet and a spicy touch of white pepper, lifted by a subtle chalky salinity.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by silky tannins and a chalky minerality, with a long and elegant finish marked by a saline tension.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, offering wines that are both fruity and structured, typical of the finest Auxey-Duresses.
- Ageing potential: To be kept 8 to 10 years in a cool and humid cellar, away from light.
