All wines of Auxey Duresses appellation in Burgundy
Communal appellation in Burgundy, near Volnay and Meursault, Côte de Beaune. It produces red wines from Pinot Noir (75% of production) and white wines from Chardonnay. Red wines include Premier Crus (9 climats and 134 ha), such as Les Duresses and Climat de Val, facing south-east on Montagne du Bourdon. More exposed to cold winds than the vineyards of neighboring Volnay, its wines are more austere in style. Thanks to clay-limestone soils and optimal exposure, Aloxe-Corton's red wines offer red fruit aromas, elegant tannic structure and excellent ageing potential. The white wines, meanwhile, stand out for their minerality, richness and notes of dried fruit or honey.
