Tasting notes for Domaine Edmond Vatan Sancerre Clos la Néore 2018 Magnum
Appearance: Pale gold with green highlights, crystal clarity and a silky texture that already hints at its tension.
On the nose: Aromas of candied lemon, chamomile flower and fresh almond mingle with a saline touch and chalky minerality evocative of Chavignol’s soils.
On the palate: A lively, precise opening, supported by taut acidity and elegant phenolic structure; the long, saline finish reveals mineral purity and remarkable persistence.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to bring out its complexity.
