The Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste 1975, an exceptional Pauillac, draws its strength from the gravelly soils of the Médoc. Its aromas of dark fruits and spices give way to a structured palate with firm, mineral tannins. Perfect with braised lamb.
A historic estate in the Médoc, rooted in the tradition of the Grands Crus Classés since 1855, carried on with passion by the Borie family since 1978.
- Terroir : Gravelly soils of Pauillac, the birthplace of full-bodied and mineral wines, where Cabernet Sauvignon expresses its full nobility.
- Vinification : Classic method, respectful of the fruit and tannic structure, producing cuvées of remarkable longevity.
Tasting notes for Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste Grand Puy Lacoste 1975
To the eye – A garnet red robe with tawny reflections, dense and slightly veiled by time, revealing a silky texture and a generous body.
On the nose – Aromas of candied blackcurrant, cedar, blonde tobacco and undergrowth, lifted by a touch of graphite and a subtle iodine-tinged saltiness.
On the palate – A broad and velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and tannins still present but well integrated, giving way to a mineral and persistent finish, marked by notes of liquorice and leather.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
