The Patrick Jasmin estate, based in Ampuis in the northern Rhône Valley, is a family benchmark led by Patrick Jasmin, a fourth-generation winemaker with a deep passion. Across 6 hectares of steep slopes, he nurtures the Côte Rôtie appellation with profound respect for its granitic terroir. The La Giroflarie 2022 cuvée, a still red wine, is a classic blend of 95% Syrah and 5% Viognier, vinified in stainless steel tanks and aged for 18 months in barrels, 25% of which are new, for an elegant structure.
On tasting, this wine reveals an intense ruby hue and a complex nose of ripe black fruit, violet, and peppery spices, with a smoky hint. On the palate, it offers a velvety texture, fine tannins, and balanced freshness, finishing with notes of blackcurrant and graphite.
