The Côte Rôtie Côte Brune 2003 from Domaine Jamet embodies the schistose terroir of the Côte Brune. This Syrah seduces with its aromas of dark fruits, spices and liquorice, with a balanced palate, silky tannins and mineral freshness. Ideal for ageing or pairing with game and cheeses.
A family estate rooted in the steep slopes of Côte-Rôtie, where heritage is passed on with exacting standards and passion.
– Terroir: The schists of the Côte Brune, exposed to the Rhône sun, sculpt Syrahs of mineral depth and rare elegance.
– Vinification: Traditional methods, long maceration and ageing in barrels to reveal the purity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Jamet Côte Rôtie Côte Brune 2003
To the eye: A deep garnet-red robe, of a dense and velvety texture, like a ruby polished by time.
On the nose: Aromas of wild blackberry and candied plum intertwine with notes of liquorice, black pepper and a saline touch, evoking the winds of the Rhône.
On the palate: A broad and silky palate, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and harmonious finish, where spices and leather intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2003
A sun-drenched vintage, where the heat concentrated the aromas and softened the tannins, yielding a generous wine while retaining a beautiful freshness.
– Aging potential: To be stored until 2030 under optimal conditions (cool cellar, away from light and vibrations).
