The Château Léoville Las Cases 1985, Deuxième Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Julien, is born on the gravels of the Médoc. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, aged in oak, it reveals aromas of blackcurrant and tobacco. Silky, mineral palate, elegant finish. Perfect with red meats or cheeses, until 2040.

Tasting notes for Château Léoville Las Cases 1985
On the eye – A garnet robe with tawny highlights, of a silky density, betraying forty years of evolution in the bottle.
On the nose – A tertiary bouquet where candied blackcurrant, blond tobacco, black truffle and leather intermingle, lifted by a mineral touch of graphite and a hint of fresh mint.
On the palate – An attack of enveloping softness, with velvety and perfectly integrated tannins, a texture of rare elegance, carried by a lively acidity and a long finish, where notes of black fruits, minerals and white tobacco linger.
Serve between 15 and 17°C in a Bordeaux glass to reveal its full complexity.
