Château Ducru-Beaucaillou A family estate rooted in the legendary terroir of Saint-Julien, where exacting standards and tradition have shaped exceptional wines for generations. - Terroir: Günzian gravel soils, typical of the Left Bank, lending the wines a distinctive minerality and elegant structure. - Vinification: A precise blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, aged 18 months in French oak barrels for perfect harmony. Tasting Notes for Château Ducru-Beaucaillou 1975 Appearance – A garnet red robe with tawny highlights, dense and silky, betraying accomplished maturity and a velvety texture. Nose – A generous bouquet combining candied blackcurrant, tangy raspberry, notes of cedar and blonde tobacco, lifted by a mineral touch of graphite and gravelly soil. Palate – A broad and fleshy attack, carried by tannins still present yet well integrated, a lively acidity and a chalky minerality that extends into a long, saline finish of rare elegance. Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromas.
