Lointier Mellifera
The Lointier House, based in Crézancy in the Vallée de la Marne, is a family estate led by Hélène and Jean-Baptiste Lointier, enthusiasts of biodynamics and beekeeping, tending 3 hectares with a natural approach. The Mellifera Extra Brut cuvée features a minimal dosage of 1.5 g/l, delivering a pure expression of its clay-limestone terroir. This blend combines 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier, matured for 11 months in oak barrels from their own forest, with no filtration or excessive sulphites.
On tasting, this Champagne reveals a luminous pale gold hue and delicate bubbles. The nose opens with aromas of ripe fruits such as peach and mirabelle plum, accented by spicy notes and a hint of honey. On the palate, it offers a juicy texture, vibrant freshness, and a structured finish, blending minerality with subtle power. Perfect as an aperitif or paired with refined dishes like seafood, the Lointier Mellifera Extra Brut captivates with its unique character and finesse.
