Château Rauzan-Ségla 1990, a fine wine from Margaux, sourced from clay-gravelly soils, is aged in French oak barrels. Nose of blackcurrant, spices and cedar, silky palate with melted tannins. Ideal with game or braised beef for a refined tasting experience.
Nestled at the heart of the Margaux appellation, this historic estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence since the 17th century.
- Terroir : Clay-gravelly and sandy-clay soils, typical of the left bank, impart a mineral elegance and a refined structure to the wines.
- Vinification : A plot-by-plot approach and aging in French oak barrels, combining tradition and precision, for cuvées of remarkable purity.
To the eye – A deep ruby robe with tawny highlights, of a silky texture and a brilliance preserved by time.
On the nose – A complex bouquet where candied black cherry, ripe blackcurrant, notes of cedar and blond tobacco intermingle, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of damp undergrowth.
On the palate – A round and fleshy attack, driven by melted yet still present tannins, a discreet acidity and a chalky minerality that extends the finish into an elegant persistence.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromas.
A sunny and generous vintage, marked by optimal grape maturity, offering today a wine at its peak.
- Aging potential : To enjoy now or to cellar until 2030 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
