The Château Rauzan-Ségla 1975, a fine wine from Margaux, draws its character from the gravels. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, aged in barrels, offers notes of dark fruits and spices. Its silky texture and mineral freshness make it an exceptional wine. Ideal with a rib of beef.
Nestled at the heart of the Margaux appellation, this historic estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence since the 18th century, blending family tradition with exceptional expertise.
- Terroir : The gravelly and clay-limestone soils of Margaux, bathed by the Garonne, lend the wines a mineral elegance and a unique aromatic finesse.
- Vinification : A rigorous selection of berries, precise fermentations and aging in new oak barrels reveal the purity of the fruit and the silky structure of the cuvées.
To the eye – A deep garnet robe with tawny highlights, of velvety density, betraying nearly half a century of maturation.
On the nose – First, notes of candied black cherry and prune, followed by hints of blond tobacco, cedar and a saline touch of graphite, like a breath of forest after the rain.
On the palate – A silky and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long and spiced finish where liquorice and black pepper intertwine.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to reveal its full complexity.
A vintage marked by a hot and dry summer, yielding wines of early maturity and harmonious structure, typical of the great Margaux.
- Aging potential : At its peak today, this wine can still be cellared for 5 to 10 years under optimal conditions (cool and humid cellar).
