All Latricieres Chambertin Grand Cru wines in Burgundy
Latricières Chambertin, located in Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits, is a Burgundy Grand Cru, covering precisely 7.31 hectares. Nestled south of the mythical Chambertin and bordering Mazis Chambertin, this parcel at an altitude of 240 to 280 meters rests on unique clay-limestone soil: red clay and hard limestone at the bottom of the slope, oolitic limestone and siliceous marls at the top. This terroir gives Pinot Noir wines distinctive minerality and elegant structure. With an east-southeast exposure and a microclimate influenced by cool winds from the Lavaux combe, Latricières Chambertin produces powerful yet refined red wines, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, licorice, violet, faded rose, and sweet spices. On the palate, they reveal silky tannins, balanced acidity, and a saline finish, with aging potential of 15 to 30 years. Less opulent than Chambertin, these wines seduce with their complexity and finesse, even when young.
